Money
Money is measured in credits. Everyone has at least one
cred-card at a time, this card contains an up-to-date record
of the money that you can acces from card. Each card
has a name, and number. The cards will say something like
Geora Martel #4691 255 481 251. Once the value
indicated by the card is exhausted the card is returned to a
bank, and the name is cleared from the card. In this
manner the card is very much like a cheque, or a rather a
bond that you can cash in a little at a time. It's a
really bizarre system but it does work. If your card
is stolen, you report it stolen and they cancel that card
number until it is returned. The value that their
computer system says was left on the card is transfered to
another card for you. Credits are universal for the
most part meaning you can use them anywhere. This feat
is managed by the machine that reads the cards. When a
card is read and the value of the card is affected, the
machine which is linked to a radio centre somewhere, sends an
encoded signal to the bank the card was issued from
(which may require hopping through several radio relays).
Coalition Cities
There is one thing to note about the Coalition cites and
that is that there are no homeless people. Yes there
are those who live mainly on the streets but that is by
choice, these are the City Rats, the criminal element that
is present in all sociteties. The homelss are
nonexistant in the cities for one reason only, and this is
they are either put to work for the Coalition or their
Citizen status is stripped from them and they are thrown out
into the burbs, the constantly shifting world that surrounds
each city. In the burbs are all the people who want to
be Coalition citizens, the d-bees who are not allowed to be
citizens, and the magic users and psychics who are treated
the same as d-bees.
