told him, "They're called gumballs. You chew them, but don't
swallow."
Archer, who had stood by silently since thanking G'lishi for
his piece of solid dirt, spoke up, "You'd better suggest he use them
when he's down to that skinny dwarf shape or he'll miss the point, or
scarf down the entire box at once, or something."
Max came down out of the ATV and held out a stiff sheet of
paper. G'lishi swung his neck around and looked at the front of
the sheet. It was a photograph of Archer's Glitterboy. It
was wearing a large voluminous white dress with straps. The wide
flared bottom of the dress was being blow up into the air by a wind.
The Glitterboy's knees were locked together and its hands were
together and buried in the skirt trying to hold it down as if it were
modest. Rad, R.C., and Chris all fell into a laughing fit
immediately. If looks could have killed Archer would have
murdered them all in that instant.
Archer had his own box for G'lishi. He offered it to
G'lishi who pried the top off of it. Inside were an assortment of
mini-missiles and grenades with brightly coloured paint jobs.
Archer made a suggestion of where a couple of them could be
placed. Fortunately the dragon did not understand him. No
one offered to translate the suggestion. They did explain his
description of what the present was. Each of the items was
modified down into fireworks that would impress visually rather than
destructively.
